It’s been a few beats (okay, it’s actually been a few years) since I’ve written anything on this site. There are reasons for that, which I may get into further down in this post—or maybe not—I haven’t actually decided yet.
For now though, I just need to ask: How’s everyone doing??
There’s been some pretty wild stuff going on in the world since we’ve last chatted. An awful lot of things to process… and processing is a big part of what I’ve been doing the past three years, in regard to both personal and world-at-large events.
I’m not going to get into the nitty-gritty of the political world because I started this project with the desire to help spread a little bit of motivation, encouragement, inspiration, and love out into the world. And that’s still the vision I have for it today, despite all the turmoil surrounding us.
In fact, all the turmoil is one of the reasons I decided to open up the shutters and get back out here. If there’s one thing I think we could all use right now, it’s a bit of respite—even if for only a few short moments here and there.
“Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.” — Herman Hesse
Sometimes, simply letting go of all the noise and allowing yourself those few moments to disconnect from everything—to breathe again—takes all the strength we have. And more often than not, it’s exactly what we need to do to replenish our reserves for all the other daily stuff.
You’ve got this—we’ve got this. Just keep taking in those moments where you can.
Best to all,
